Prof. Dr. Robert A. Yelle
The Chair of Prof. Yelle is devoted to research in general, Indian, and European history of religion as well as the history of religious studies as a subject. Research specialisms include the semiotics of religion, structuralist and linguistic approaches to ritual and myth, political secularism, Hinduism and the history of colonial ties, the interpretative history of secularization since the Reformation, as well as the relationship between time and religion.
